Privacy Policy

Rolling Dough is run by Jollen Limited, based in Christchurch, New Zealand. We take your privacy seriously and only collect the information we need to run our pizza business and reply to you. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. We follow the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

Last updated: 13 July 2026

What we collect

When you fill in our booking or enquiry form, we collect your name, email address, event date, guest numbers, and anything you tell us about your event.

When you order pizza online, your order goes through our ordering system. Any payment details you enter go straight to that provider and are not stored by us.

When you email or call us, we keep your contact details and your message so we can reply and arrange your booking.

When you visit the website, we collect basic technical information through cookies, such as the pages you look at. See the cookies section below.

When you join our loyalty scheme at the trailer, we collect your name and email address, plus your mobile number if you choose to give it. We use this to run your account, see how much you have spent, and work out your loyalty credit.

When you sign up for our weekly email, whether that is in the queue or on the website, we collect your name, email address, and your mobile number if you give it, along with the date and place you signed up. We only send you text messages if you tick that box separately from the email tick. One does not mean the other.

How we use it

We use your information to reply to enquiries, prepare quotes, arrange and manage bookings, take orders, and keep in touch with you about your event. We also use it to run and improve the website.

We do not sell your information to anyone.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the services that help us run the business: our website host, our loyalty and till system (POS Anywhere), our email and text provider (Brevo), our online ordering system, our payment provider, and Google and Meta for site analytics and advertising. They only get what they need to do their job.

We will otherwise only share your information if the law requires us to.

Cookies

Cookies are small files a website saves on your device. We use them to make the site work properly and to understand how people use it. You can turn cookies off in your browser settings, but some parts of the site may not work as well if you do.

We use Google Analytics to see how many people visit the site, which pages they look at, and roughly where they come from. We use the Meta pixel (Facebook and Instagram) on our catering pages to understand which ads are working, and to show our ads to people who have already looked at those pages. Neither tool tells us your name or who you are personally, and New Zealand law does not require a cookie pop-up for tools like these, but we want you to know they are there.

How long we keep it

We keep your information only for as long as we need it for the reason we collected it, or for as long as the law requires.

Keeping it safe

We take reasonable steps to keep your information secure. No website or system is ever completely secure, so we cannot promise it is impossible for anything to go wrong, but we do our best to protect it.

Where your information is held

Some of the services we use may store information on servers outside New Zealand. Our website, for example, is hosted on servers in Australia. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to make sure your information stays protected.

Email and text marketing

If you tick the box to join our email list, we will send you roughly one email a week about where the trailer is and what is on. If you separately tick the box for texts, we will send the occasional message on trading days. Ticking one box does not sign you up to the other.

Every email has an unsubscribe link, and every text lets you reply STOP to come off the list. We honour both straight away. We follow the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007, which means we only email or text people who have said yes, and we always say who the message is from.

We never add people to the marketing list just because they enquired about catering once. A reply to your enquiry is not a sign-up.

Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, or ask us to delete it. Just email us at josh@rollingdough.co.nz and we will action it the same day, across every system we use (loyalty, email, and everywhere else).

If you have any concerns about how we handle your information, please contact us first at josh@rollingdough.co.nz. If you are still not happy, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
