Christchurch’s Wood Fired Pizza Van

Rolling Dough was born out of a love for real pizza. Not the stuff you get in a box. Neapolitan Style Pizza made with flour, water, salt, time, and a bit of obsession.

We hit the streets of Christchurch in summer 2026, bringing wood fired Neapolitan Style Pizza to the markets, events, and neighbourhoods of Canterbury. The dough ferments for 24 hours at room temperature, never refrigerated. Italian ingredients. A hot oven. That is all it takes.

No. We are completely self-contained. We cook everything in our wood fired pizza oven. We do need to be set up outside, so please make sure there is an outdoor space available. We bring everything we need and leave no trace.
We are based in Christchurch and regularly cater across Canterbury. Get in touch if you are outside the region and we will see what we can do.
Our minimum for private catering is 40 guests. There is no upper limit — we have catered for 500+ people and can scale to suit your event.
We recommend booking at least four weeks in advance for private events, and sooner for peak dates like summer weekends and the holiday season. Reach out early to avoid missing out.
We take dietary requirements and allergies very seriously. We have vegetarian options on every menu. However, we are unable to offer gluten free pizzas. By the nature of what we make, our kitchen handles flour constantly and we cannot guarantee a gluten-free environment. If you have a gluten intolerance or coeliac condition, please speak to us before booking. For all other requirements, let us know when you enquire and we will do our best.
